Your Voice, Your Story: A 20 in 20 Litquake Event at the Marin City Library

It's Litquake's 20th anniversary and we are celebrating with 20 events in 20 Bay Area cities!

Join us in Marin City with Maria Ramos-Chertok, local author and founder of The Butterfly Series. Maria will lead an interactive workshop designed to help you unleash your creativity and tell your story using writing exercises designed to awaken your inner knowing and get your pen flowing.

She’ll open by discussing the joys of being part of an anthology of stories written by women of color, All The Women in My Family Sing (edited by Deborah Santana, 2018), read an excerpt from the anthology, and facilitate exercises to help you leave with a personal essay or poem.

Open to all ages and all levels of writing experience.
