From local filmmaker Felicia Lowe comes a powerful, intimate look at the exclusionary immigration policies of the Chinese Exclusion era. Combining historical footage, dramatic reenactments, and thorough research, a lesser-known period of history is brought into a powerful human-centric lens.

Film runs about 45 minutes, to be followed by discussion.  Refreshments provided.

Come track the migrations of local birds!  The Great Backyard Bird Count is a worldwide citizen science event started in 1998 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society.  Find out more at https://www.birdcount.org/about/.

Whether you're an expert birder or a first-time observer, meet us at the Marin City Library to watch and count some birds!  We'll be joined by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy's experts, who will lead us on a bird count in the retaining pond and then (weather permitting) along the shore.  We'll have binoculars, though you're welcome to bring your own.  Event will take place rain or shine!

This event will take place outdoors, so please dress for the weather.  All ages welcome.
