Marin City Live! Author Event: David Swope

The Marin City Library continues its online Zoom author visits with our very own children's author/illustrator, David Swope. David will be reading The Spider King. He will also be announcing the winner of the Royal Web Design contest, and giving away autographed books.

Via Zoom. David Swope will be reading The Spider King, a delightful fairytale about King Fang and the royal web-spinning competition he sets to find a worthy suitor for his daughter.

King Fang has set a competition, and suitors for his daughter must spin a royal web for his approval. Will the princess marry the spider of her father's choosing, or one who makes her laugh? The Spider King is a fairytale with a twist, told in rhyme. It's a funny and surprising story about creativity, simplicity, and staying true to yourself. For ages 6+
