The Golden Gate Village Resident Council is the legal representative of the residents of Golden Gate Village and has been clear on their demands for the renovation of their homes. They want immediate revitalization and renovation, no new buildings in Marin City, green renovation and jobs, the right for the residents to own their own homes, and for property to be permanently affordable. The options provided by the Marin Housing Authority do not meet all of these criteria, especially the demands for self-determination, permanent affordability, and ownership.
